Terms of Service
The short version: Use your holder sensibly, and if it’s not right for you, email us within 30 days and we’ll take care of it. Details below.
These terms cover mobettahbands.ca and anything you buy from us. “We” and “Mo Bettah” mean Mo Bettah Bands Inc., a corporation incorporated in British Columbia, Canada (incorporation number BC1249253). Our US storefront is operated by our subsidiary, Mo Bettah Bands USA Inc., under separate terms. Placing an order means you agree to these terms. Questions: support@mobettahbands.com
All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless stated otherwise at checkout.
Ordering
You need to be the age of majority in your province or territory: 19 in British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Yukon; 18 elsewhere in Canada.
Prices, stock, and product details can change, and if we get something wrong we may cancel and refund before shipping. We can decline orders that look fraudulent or intended for resale. Your purchase is for your own personal use or as a gift, not for commercial resale.
Taxes
GST or HST is calculated at checkout based on your shipping province. The tax shown at checkout is the tax you pay. Our GST/HST number is 735976474 RT0001.
Shipping
We ship within Canada, from our warehouse in Prince George, British Columbia. We do not sell or ship to Quebec. Free shipping on orders over $70 CAD; orders below that ship at rates calculated at checkout. Faster delivery options are available at checkout for an additional charge.
Because your order never crosses a border, there are no duties, customs charges or brokerage fees. The total at checkout is the total.
Delivery estimates are estimates; carriers and weather aren’t ours to control. Title and risk of loss pass to you when we hand your order to the carrier, though if a package goes missing in transit, tell us and we’ll work it out with you. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.
If we can’t deliver on time
If we haven’t shipped your order within 30 days of the delivery date we gave you (or, if we didn’t give one, within 30 days of your order), you can cancel and we’ll refund you in full.
Returns and warranty
You have 30 days from delivery to return your product for a refund, and every product carries a 90-day limited warranty against defects. Both are described in our Refund Policy, which is part of these terms.
These are in addition to the legal warranties you have under the consumer protection and sale of goods legislation in your province; they don’t replace or reduce them.
Using your holder safely
This is the part we’d ask you to actually read.
- Magnets. This product uses strong magnets. Keep it away from pacemakers, defibrillators, and other implanted medical devices, and follow your device manufacturer’s guidance on magnetic distance. Magnets can also damage credit cards, hotel keys, and magnetic media.
- Keep it clean. Grease, oils, and dirt on the band or the magnet weaken the hold. Wipe both down, and make sure the magnetic connection is solid before you let go of your phone.
- Never while driving.
- Phones only. Not rated for tablets or anything heavier.
- Follow crew instructions and airline rules. Some seats, including most first class, may not be compatible.
- Don’t force it into a seat pocket or attach it to anything not built to hold weight.
- Not for young children. Contains small parts if broken. Not suitable for children under three. Keep away from small children and pets.
- It’s a phone holder, not a safety device. Where and how you use it is on you.
Extra bands
Bands are available separately in other colours and designs if you want to switch things up.
Our design
The appearance of Mo Bettah Bands is protected in Canada by registered industrial design No. 198829, and by patents and trademark rights held by us and our affiliates in the United States and other jurisdictions; see our Patents page.
Canadian patent application No. 3,159,115 is pending, and further applications are pending in other jurisdictions. Don’t copy it, manufacture it, reverse-engineer it, or resell it without a written agreement from us.

Photos, reviews, and feedback
Tag us or send us a review, photo, or suggestion and you’re giving us permission to use it in our marketing and on our site, with credit where it fits. You keep ownership.
Don’t post anything that isn’t yours or that’s unlawful or abusive; we can remove content at our discretion.
Airlines
We aren’t affiliated with or endorsed by any airline. We name them only to describe fit.
Website use
Don’t misuse the site: no hacking, scraping, interfering with its operation, or using our name or content to build a competing product or site. Our site content, images, and logos are ours.
Warranty disclaimer and liability
Our 30-day return policy and 90-day limited warranty are the promises we make on top of your legal rights.
Beyond those, and except for the conditions and warranties implied by law that cannot be excluded, including those under provincial sale of goods and consumer protection legislation, products and the site are provided as is, and we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied.
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including damage to your phone, and our total liability for any claim is capped at what you paid for the product.
This cap doesn’t apply to death or personal injury caused by our negligence, to our fraud, or anywhere your provincial consumer legislation doesn’t permit it. Nothing in these terms limits or waives any right you have under the consumer protection laws of your province or territory.
Indemnity
If your misuse of a product, breach of these terms, or violation of someone else’s rights causes a claim against us, you’ll cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, except to the extent the claim arises from our own negligence.
Disputes
Email us first at support@mobettahbands.com. That settles nearly everything, and we’ll try to resolve any issue within 60 days.
If we can’t resolve it, you can bring a claim in the courts of British Columbia, or in the courts of your own province or territory if the law of that province gives you that right. Small claims court is always available to either of us.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict of laws rules, except where the mandatory consumer protection laws of your own province say otherwise, in which case those apply.
Language
These terms are provided in English only. We do not sell or ship to Quebec.
Changes
We may update these terms. Whatever’s posted when you order applies to that order; material changes get a new date at the top.
If any part is unenforceable, the rest still stands. You can’t transfer your rights under these terms; we can, if the business is sold.
These terms plus our Privacy, Shipping, and Refund Policies are the whole agreement between us.
